David Caldwell is a senior consultant, executive coach and motivational speaker with leadership expertise handling a range of issues including customer engagement, human resource management and leadership development. David combines education in counseling, training in people management, experience as a leader including college president, and an open, honest manner to give direct, wise and no-nonsense advice clients trust and use.
David's past executive roles include The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Education Management Corporation, with particular experience in security, hospitality, higher education and retail operations. David has traveled and studied in the Middle East including Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and Israel, and developed an eco-friendly resort destination in Ethiopia.
David also served with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, receiving a Commendation from the FBI Director for his role in an event with the President of the United States. He has been a frequent lecturer for the Hilton College at the University of Houston, and served on the executive team of a major retail company before joining Martius Group.
Chef Pierre Rausch is a senior consultant, teacher, coach, and award-winning culinary expert with over 50 years of international culinary training and experience, including in commercial kitchens across Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the United States. He specializes in teaching and coaching business owners, chefs and culinary teams on quality food service, cost control and operations to meet goals. Chef Rausch also speaks to groups on culinary issues.
Chef Rausch has been a business owner and restaurateur, and executive chef for leading private clubs and hospitality organizations including Hilton, Sheraton, and Continental Companies of Florida. A Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) since 1976, Chef Rausch has been recognized as “Best of Region” chef by Philadelphia Magazine and ACF Chef of the Year, and received ACF's Lifetime Achievement Award, Presidents Award and Grand Award of Culinary Salon.
Active with organizations like Escoffier Society and the International Food Executives Association, Chef Rausch is a member of the Board of Trustees at Walnut Hill College and ACF Philadelphia, a member of the National Board of La Chaine des Rotisseurs, and a member of the advisory boards for several culinary schools. Chef Rausch was inducted into the National Culinary Hall of Fame in July 2012.
Joe Marzano is an accomplished business executive, educator, coach and nationally recognized expert on change management, organizational development, cultural engagement and personal communication practice.
As founder and President of Martius Group LLC, Joe partners with private company and nonprofit governance boards and executive teams to develop strategic direction and capacity to overcome challenges, create breakthroughs, deliver greater value and drive better results. He specializes in education, entertainment, recreation and hospitality industries and works with professionals at all levels of business, community and government organizations.
With decades of leadership success, Joe has guided national and regional organizations through startup, growth, turnaround, transfer and crisis transition situations. His executive experience includes serving as National Sales Director, Chief Marketing Officer, General Manager, President and Chief Executive Officer, with organizations such as Time Inc, American Express, The Art Institutes and University of Phoenix. Joe has served as a board director for over a dozen organizations across the U.S. and has trained, coached and mentored hundreds of board members and leaders.
A seasoned world traveler and passionate culinary expert, Joe creates and leads customized Cooking Commons® culinary travel experiences for work teams and private groups. He is also a popular and thought-provoking keynote speaker and strategic facilitator with corporate and special event audiences across the U.S.
